Swarovski Crystal Beads

Swarovski crystal beads from Austria exceed all others in terms of quality and elegance. Swarovski Crystal is the premium quality, full-lead crystal made today. It contains a minimum of 32% lead, making the crystal optically pure. The crystal is faceted with wonderful precision, creating stunning prisms. Radiant colors and / or coatings are added to these crystals to produce pendants, stones, and beads of dazzling beauty in an incredible variety of shapes and sizes. Swarovski Crystal is matchless in excellence and distinction.

Swarovski Pearl Beads

Each Swarovski Crystal Pearl is created around a crystal core, hence the name Crystal Pearl. This crystal core gives the pearl its ideal weight and combined with the Swarovski Pearl coating it causes each Crystal Pearl to glow from within. The pearl coating developed by Swarovski is applied around the crystal core in pearly layers.

The high specific gravity of a raw pearl made of crystal gives the Swarovski Crystal Pearl the same weight as a cultured pearl. A Swarovski Crystal Pearl feels good to the touch and as a piece of jewelry, it offers that sensual experience valued by pearl enthusiasts.

Fire-Polished Crystal Beads

Fire-Polished beads are Czech glass beads that start as rounds and then are hand or machine faceted to catch the light. Often a surface finish is added to create extra sparkle

Pressed Glass Beads

Pressed Glass Beads are colorful beads from the Czech Republic. The beads are also known as Czech Glass and come in a variety of shapes from rounds, ovals, squares, tubes, leaves, flowers, drops etc.

Lampwork Beads

Lampwork beads are artistic hand made beads created by spinning hot glass onto a mandrel over a flame.

Cloisonné Beads

Cloisonné beads are enameled metal and produce a picture or mosaic similar to a stained glass window. The beads come in many colours and shapes. Special gold silver and imperial are a little more intricately made as are twisted wire cloisonné beads.  

Dichroic Glass Beads

A glass which contains extremely thin layers of chromium, silicon, titanium, aluminum, and zirconium, depending on the colour wanted.  They are almost holographic in appearance.

Semi-Precious Gems

Semi-precious gem stone beads come in all shapes and sizes, but in general they are polished and faceted, donut shaped, round, rough cut or chips.

Shell Beads

Shell Beads are created from natural shells. The iridescent substance that is formed in mollusk shells is marketed as "mother of pearl".  Shell beads are often dyed to produce a range of colours.

Delica Seed Beads

Delica beads are perfectly cylindrical beads with thin walls and large holes.

Silver-Plated Finish

Light layer of silver electronically plated over a base metal to produce a silver look. Cheaper but not  as long lasting as Sterling Silver. Tendency to tarnish, particularly if exposed to water.  May produce an allergic reaction in some people.

Gold Plated Finish

Light layer of gold electronically plated over a base metal to produce a gold look. Cheaper but not  as long lasting as gold filled or solid gold.. Tendency to tarnish, particularly if exposed to water.  May produce an allergic reaction in some people.

Antique Finish

Sterling Silver 

A silver alloy that contains 92.5% silver and 7.5% copper. It can be worn by most people and does have a tendency to tarnish over time. Unlike silver plated metal, however is easily cleaned with baking soda or a Silver cleaner such as Silvo. Is suitable for most people with allergies to plated metals.

Gold-Filled

Base metal with a sheet of 14 carat gold applied to its surface. Gold filled looks and wears like solid gold because of the outer surface.  Is suitable for most people who are sensitive to plated metals

Our earrings have been made using Shepherds Hooks unless otherwise specified.  These may be changed to any other hook excluding screw-ons at no extra cost. Screw-on findings can be substituted for an additional $1.50.  Please contact me prior to ordering to arrange different earring findings.
